update. So let's not waste anymore time: 07.11.05
The past 2 years have bore a whole lotta shows, a few tours which have
taken us down to Florida and out to Texas and the west coast, as well
as a new full length CD entitled "Dirty Jersey".
The rest of '07 is looking good as well, with a summer full or great

01.10.05Happy New Year from your friendly neighborhood Stompers. With the new year comes a new line up for Hub City Stompers. 2004 saw the departure of tenor saxophonist Lord Skoochie, bass player Beer Blade the Mighty, and Alto/Bari saxophonist Dustin DK. Now we welcome our new additions of Reggae Bob on bass, Matt Glock on guitar, and Jen Italia on tenor sax. Adam X remains on hiatus in Pennsyltucky for the time being. HCS has been very busy with shows lately, and it appears that trend will continue throughout the winter. Check the shows page for upcoming dates. HCS will finally get some miles on the road as well, playing the Ontario Ska Fest in February and the Atlanta Ska Fest in March.
Our prospective date for recording album #2 is April of '05.
So keep yer ears open, scumulties. Good things are going down.
09.19.04THE DAMNED WEBSITE IS BACK UP!
Welcome back. After a long and busy summer, Hub City Stompers is taking a bit of a break while newlywed drummer Green Goblin is away on Honeymoon and we go through a couple line up changes.
But fear not, we will be back in action soon enough for an Autumn of debauchery. Part of that debauchery will involve a new deadly alliance in the NJ/NYC Ska world: The SKA TRIPTYCH!
Hub City Stompers' has joined forces with old skool NJ skalwarts BIGGER THOMAS and NYC's reggae/ska sensation RUDY CREW to form The Ska Triptych. For full information go to www.skatriptych .com and check it out! And check back on the shows page for this Fall's schedule as we'll be back in action sooner than you think!

1.14.04
Happy New Year,
from your friendly neighborhood Stompers. Here's what's going on:
-The recording of Hub City Stompers' debut album "BLOOD, SWEAT, & BEERS"
is complete. It is now in the mixing stage and is scheduled for release
on March 1st.
-The SKA MOB TOUR (featuring KING DJANGO, Germany's DR.RING DING, and
DC's EASTERN STANDARD TIME) is rolling through New Jersey on January 25th,
and HUB CITY STOMPERS will be joining the fracas that day at Hamilton St.
Cafe. See our SHOWS PAGE for more details.
-Aside from 5 great ska bands under one roof, another significant reason to
catch the January 25th show is that it will be Lord Skoochie's LAST OFFICIAL
SHOW WITH HUB CITY STOMPERS. That's right, after a dirty dozen years
of performing in the NJ & US Ska scene Erik "Lord Skoochie" Schroeder
is leaving Hub City Stompers to spend more time with his family and pursue
his creative endeavors with his band THE COSMIC BROTHERHOOD OF RA. He
will be sorely missed by the Stompers. He may make appearances at some
of the CD release shows this Spring but play it safe and come see Skoochie's
last stand with the Stompers at Brighton Bar on the 23rd or Hamilton St. Cafe
on the 25th. Come out to pay your respects to one of NJ Ska's most enduring
and entertaining performers!
-With the departure of Lord Skoochie one would expect that we're looking for
a tenor sax player...and one would be ABSOLUTELY WRONG. However HCS
is currently on the hunt for a TRUMPET PLAYER. Anyone interested e-mail
ill Postino. For that matter, anyone who plays any instrument and would
be interested in joining the HCS crew can shoot us an e-mail. We're
a versatile band and not everyone always sticks to one instrument all the
time so you never know...we could use you.
Allright, that's all for now. Keep your ears open for info on "BLOOD,
SWEAT & BEERS" as the release date approaches.

11.11.03
Hub City Stompers head to King Django's Version City studio on November 14th to record their first full-length album (not yet titled) to be released on Megalith Records in early 2004. Keep your eyes & ears open for details as they develop.
10.16.03
Hub City Stompers will be sharing the stage with NJ Ska Old-schoolers BIGGER THOMAS at the BIGGER THOMAS 15th ANNIVERSARY SHOW being held at The Court Tavern in good ol' Hub City.Ê See SHOW PAGE for details!
6.19.03
Welcome to the new Hub City Stompers website. Bear with us as we get all the
pages up and running!
March 25th saw the release of a HUGE Ska compilation entitled "STILL STANDING". A joint label release by Megalith/Jump Up records, it is a 4 (yes FOUR) CD compilation featuring 88 bands from all over North America. Track #12 on CD 1 is none other than the Hub City Stompers tune "Night of the Living". (*note*- Due to a little communications mix up, the title of the track is incorrectly listed as "HCS" on the CD itself) For more info go to www.megalithrecords.com or www.stillstandingska.com.
